The Latest and Upcoming Bollywood Movies of 2020: 2019 has been an interesting year for Bollywood so far. It has touched both extremes of the spectrum. On one side, there are films like “Hamid” and “Photograph”, with an accurate depiction of the reality. On the other hand, we have no-brainers like “Student of the Year 2” and “Total Dhamaal”. There have also been blockbusters like “Kabir Singh” and “Super 30”. So, it’s a full house as far as the variety of films is concerned.

Going by the trend, we can assume that it’s no longer an easy game to churn out a blockbuster. The failure of Shahrukh Khan’s “Zero” and the success of Ayushman Khurana’s “Andhadhun” say it all. They’re proof of the changing dynamics of blockbuster cinema.

Speaking of Khurrana, he is going strong this year as well. His latest “Article 15” has been critically acclaimed and commercially successful. Similar to it, another police story, “Soni” (a Netflix Release) has garnered some critical appreciation this year.

With “Gully Boy”, “Manikarnika”, “Uri” and “Mission Mangal”, Bollywood’s obsession with Biopics is in full glory this year. But there is hope, still, that before the year ends, we will get to see something like “October” or “Andhadhun”. If not, there is always another year to build our anticipation. From the 10 movies listed below, it seems Bollywood in 2020 is heading in the right direction, picking risky subjects for moderate budget to minimise the loss.
